TransNusa launched a direct connection between Bali and Phuket on 9 September 2026. The announced operating days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday: four days a week. The route uses an Airbus A320-200. The first arrival in Phuket, flight 8B541, carried 174 passengers.

Bali–Phuket: launch, operating days and aircraft

The service adds an option for travellers combining the two islands. Its operating days provide a useful starting point when arranging accommodation and the next part of a trip. Check which flight date fits the intended length of stay before fixing the rest of the itinerary.

How the route fits a two-island trip

For a Bali and Phuket itinerary, the new flight can be planned as a separate travel stage. Comparing the whole journey is more useful than looking at one ticket price alone. Consider how departure and arrival fit hotel nights and allow time for journeys to and from the airports.

Travellers continuing beyond either island should check that next stage separately, including its departure airport, departure time and the services included in the ticket. A route announcement does not establish the terms of a particular booking. It should not be read as confirmation of any specific onward-connection or baggage-transfer arrangement.

Before booking: dates, total price and baggage

Start by selecting the exact travel date in the current timetable. Then compare the total price for everyone travelling and the included services. Cabin baggage, checked baggage, seat selection and the conditions for changes or cancellation may all affect the decision. The terms attached to the actual ticket are what matter.

This article gives neither an example fare nor a fixed baggage allowance because we do not yet have a verified fare document for those details. That does not mean the airline has not published prices or conditions. Read them in the specific booking offer before paying.

Once the flight date and booking are confirmed, accommodation and airport transport can be arranged around them. Check the flight status again before departure rather than relying solely on the launch announcement.

Another connection between Indonesia and Thailand

The Bali–Phuket launch follows TransNusa’s opening of Jakarta–Bangkok on 6 August 2026. Both connect Indonesia and Thailand, but they serve different origins and destinations. Jakarta–Bangkok is a separate route, not another name for the new island connection.

Choose the route that matches the intended journey. Travellers combining Phuket and Bali should check the new service; those travelling from Jakarta to Bangkok should check that separate offer. These two launches do not describe the airline’s entire network or establish a future timetable. This report explains the new connection; available seats and bookable dates depend on the current airline offer.
